A telescopic mast extends from 3.2 m to 5.1 m, allowing you to drive any post type up to 4.0 m even when headroom is limited.

The 300 kg hammer delivers class-leading driving force by running at optimum efficiency with minimal restriction and fast cycle times.

Fitted with Kinghitter’s Safety Post Cap, the operator has completely safe directional control of every post. The guard protects the operator from the hammer’s strike zone along its entire stroke to the ground. It also secures each post in an upright position while driving, allowing the operator to steer the post from behind the safety gate.

The Expander 2i is compatible with the entire range of Kinghitter Base combinations and Accessory options, ensuring you get a post driver package that suits your ground conditions, fencing requirements, and personal preferences.

The operator can stay in control 100% of the time, with Hammer Lift/Lower, Toplink, Angle Tilt, Mast Expand, and Base adjustments all at fingertip control, using Kinghitter’s ergonomic valve bank positioning system.

The Expander 2i is the ultimate drop-hammer post driver, designed to outperform others for speed, driving force, and usability. Its telescopic mast expands from 3.2 m to 5.1 m, giving you the ability to drive posts up to 4.0 m (13 ft) even when headroom is limited. The 300 kg (660 lb) hammer delivers powerful, efficient driving force, while the 25° side tilt and 25° hydraulic toplink provide excellent post positioning control across uneven terrain. The 50 mm guarded Safety Postcap keeps the operator protected and maintains secure control of the post during driving.

Hydraulic functions are controlled through a 6+ function high-flow valve bank for smooth, responsive operation. As the post is driven into the ground, the top gets lower and the impact zone moves. Kinghitter’s guard mounts to the Safety Postcap and travels with the strike zone, protecting the operator over the hammer’s full stroke.

The Cable System | Feature Highlight

The Series 2i rigid post driver uses Kinghitter’s proven rope & pulley lift system, delivering a true 6:1 lift ratio—every 100 mm of ram stroke lifts the hammer 600 mm. This system creates a faster post rammer hammer cycle, a longer free-fall stroke, and powerful driving force for tall, hard-set posts. The lift ram on the post banger is fully isolated from shock and vibration, reducing heat, minimising seal wear, and extending long-term reliability.

Kinghitter’s next-generation hydraulic lift ram and cable system also improves overall machine efficiency. The double-acting hydraulic lift ram design reduces oil temperature and lowers strain on your tractor pump, keeping your hydraulic system running cooler and more efficiently. Cable life is maximised through high-grade wire rope, modern pulley geometry, and reduced cable whip.

Rock Spike Kit

The Rockspike Kit is designed for rocky terrain, using a solid steel spike driven by the hammer to break through rocks and create pilot holes for posts. Its 8-tonne extractor ram easily removes the spike or old posts. The hydraulic positioning ram rotates the rock spike in and out of position via the valve bank controls. Rockspikes are available in two different sizes: 90mm & 130mm.

The Kinghitter Torque Drill delivers unmatched auger torque with a planetary gear drive and high-capacity hydraulic motor, producing 2300NM of torque. Mounted on the Rockspike Extractor Kit for stability, it can be interchanged with a Rockspike, and is fitted with a hydraulic positioner, which pivots it in & out of position using a hydraulic ram.
